About Louis Jenkins

Louis T. Jenkins is a gospel artist, pianist, and worship leader whose music is rooted in a lifelong relationship with praise. Raised in San Francisco, California, Louis began playing piano as a child alongside his two brothers, trained first in classical music before finding his voice in jazz and gospel.

It was through the freedom of improvisational music that God opened his creative gift — leading him to write and compose original worship songs. Influenced by the soul of Motown and the pioneering sound of Andraé Crouch & The Disciples, Louis developed a style that honors the gospel tradition while speaking to contemporary believers. That heritage came full circle when Fletch Wiley — trumpet player from the Andraé Crouch band — became his producer.

Today, Louis leads and supports worship at his home church in Sonoma County, California, at local worship events, and through his studio recordings. He is a founding member of Soncerity, a gospel group whose music blends classic R&B with modern production for a new generation of worshippers.

His music has connected with audiences across the United States, South Africa, and the United Kingdom — a reflection of the universal language at the heart of his message.

“There is no greater feeling than knowing God is using your music to change lives and draw us all closer to His plan.”

Louis is a husband, father, and grandfather — anchored in faith and family, and committed to creating music that points every generation toward Jesus Christ.
